Assignment and objectives of the USMVC
More
than a private Museum:
Behind the USMVC Berlin stands at first the great involvement from Susan &
Frank Heyn. These two people where born and grown up in the American Sector of
Berlin and life now there too. We are be
busy with the history of the American Allies and the story of the cold war in
Berlin. Sometimes they get help from friends with the same interest, who
collect U.S. Military Vehicles, too.
With
our interest it has an hefty tome collection and private museum with thousands
of original historical objects (Vehicles, Uniforms, Equipment and many more)
from the U.S. Army become. Our assignment
is to illustrate and impart an important part of Berlin history (between 1945
and 1994) to all generations and transfer this to the young children's. We
want to prevent, that nobody forget this period and
our American GI´s and friends.
At
exhibitions and anniversaries we would greatly stress, that the Vehicles,
Uniforms and the other equipment are original historical and that the
authentically presentation perfectly fits to the epoch of each event
(for example: Berlin Airlift,
1948/49).
We are specialize in the Berlin postwar, the
blockade and Airlift, building of the Berlin Wall and the cold war period.
We're
offer:
We, the USMVC Berlin are very interested to present our extensive collection
in various arrangements for associations, public museums, schools or
companies.
We're looking for:
We want further to complete our collection. Therefore, we are searching
at
every time for the following items:
Uniforms, equipment, food rations, crests, badges, TM´s, photos, documents and
many other things from the American Allies who in former time
stationed in Germany (specially Berlin)!
Demand us, because we support
the German-American friendship!
