Now it is there!
The american Version of the popular book from Reinhard von Bronewski. The former police man who had done his job in mixed patrols, together with the people from the american military police.
The name of these book and his content tell´s you pices from the life of little boy Reinhard post war, the police man Bronewski and many very interesting stories of the american allied part of Berlin in the history of cold war.
As well you´ll find in there more than 90 historical photos!

Bereits als kleiner Junge schloss Reinhard von Bronewski Freundschaft mit amerikanischen Soldaten. Auf seinen ausgedehnten Streifzügen durch den Berliner Grunewald teilten die Amerikaner mit ihm so manches Mal ihre Rationen aus der Gulaschkanone. Aber auch das Sammeln der begehrten Platzpatronenhülsen wurde zum lukrativen Hobby. Im späteren Berufsalltag waren die Amerikaner dem Autor wichtige Partner und Freunde.
Von Bronewskis Erinnerungen bieten interessante Einblicke in das Leben der in Berlin stationierten amerikanischen Soldaten und markieren damit ein wichtiges Kapitel deutscher und speziell Berliner Geschichte.
Reinhard von Bronewski, Jahrgang 1947, versah in Berlin seinen Dienst als Polizeibeamter. Während dieser Zeit arbeitete er langjährig als Sprachmittler bei der amerikanischen Militärpolizei, die alle deutsch-amerikanischen Vorfälle in Berlin bearbeiteten. 1999 wurde er als Polizeioberkommissar aus gesundheitlichen Gründen in den vorzeitigen Ruhestand versetzt.
